YOUTH TRAINING

Playing sport isn't enough.

Youth athletes need more than sport specific training. They need to develop strong movement patterns, have the ability to control and coordinate their bodies efficiently, and they need to develop a robustness in order to meet the demands of sport and everyday life while growing and developing.

Playing sport alone without developing the bodies capabilities and capacity, more often then not leads to injuries. THis is amplified by the fact that as kids grow, then become more susceptible to injury due to growth, where bones grow quick than muscle can adapt. Subsequently it often leads to injuries such as:

        - Osgoods Schlatters
        - Severs Disease

        - Tendinopathy
        - ACL Injury
        - General Knee Pain

The focus of our Youth Training Program is Long Term Athlete development, and the is to prevent or limit the extent of these injuries, while also ensuring that as kids maintain function and remain physically competency as they mature. We do this by enhancing:

   - Tissue Capacity: Ensuring muscles, tendons and ligaments can cope with relevant loads and volumes

   - Neuromuscular Control: Focusing on Coordination and Control of movement to ensuring efficiency in patterns

Our YOUTH TRAINING Program includes:

  • Gym-based Development - Sport science testing to identify strengths, areas of improvement and injury risk

  • Speed and Agility - Individualised training to improve on field success

Ultimately, by building a strong foundation, it gives kids the best chance of staying fit and healthy, allowing them more time to develop their skills, and gives them the best chance of success later down the line.
